Phil 1:27 - Let your conduct be worthy of the gospel of Christ, so that whether I come and see you or am absent. I may hear of your affairs that you stand fast in one spirit, with one mind, striving together for the faith of the gospel

Unity of Vision and Purpose! At the Tower of Babel, God declared that if mankind worked together in unity that nothing would be impossible to them. Jesus said, “If two of you agree on earth concerning anything that they ask, it will be done for them.” There is tremendous power in united effort. This is what has held Victory Churches together for the last forty years!

  1. God-given. Right from the start Victory Churches embraced a God-given vision and purpose that was bigger than any one of us. A vision that had the capacity to reach every tribe, tongue and people group in the whole world: Reach -Teach – Mobilize! It was a shared vision of limitless Kingdom expansion that brought us together; held us together through every storm; and forged us together into a world-changing movement!
  1. Unlimited. A limited vision builds limited churches that produce limited Christians, which creates limited opportunities, and releases limited power. But an unlimited vision creates unlimited opportunities and releases unlimited power. We must think globally and act locally. God’s power is always released to fulfill Gods purpose.
  1. Unified. But a big vision isn’t enough in and of itself. We must also commit to it and pursue it with passion. The more passionate we are about the vision, the more it brings us into unity. Our vision and purpose pulls us all in the same direction, because our destination is the same. It is the place where brethren dwell together in unity that God commands his blessing! (Ps 133)
  1. Passionate. This doesn’t mean we lose our individuality. We can have the same vision, but we can and do have differing passions. Vision is a seeing word, passion is a feeling word. We all see the same thing but can feel differently about different aspects of it. Passion flows from our individual giftings. This allows every member to be equally passionate about various aspects of the same vision. Every passion must be subject to Christ’s number one passion – the passion for souls. (Luke 19:10)
  1. Specific. Of course, the vision is the big picture. Nothing becomes dynamic until it becomes specific. (Hab 2:2) In order to move forward with the vision, we need to break it down into achievable steps. Goals are the specific ways in which the purposes of the organization can be measured and accomplished. Goals should be directly related to one of the basic purposes of the organization. If they aren’t then the goal will detract from the effectiveness of the organization and it will drain off its most precious resources: manpower, money and time. Goals should be written frequently. They may change from time to time, but the overall purposes and objectives never change.

Regardless of which way the winds of change blow, we must continue to make a united, focused, passionate effort to fulfill our God-Given Vision! The vision acts as our magnetic north. It is what energizes us as a movement and keeps everyone focused. The vision is the energy behind all our efforts and the force that pushes us forward through all our problems. Don’t ever lose sight of it!

Yours for the fulfilling of the Victory Churches Vision and Purpose.
